Pic of the day – somebody to lean on

Jet usually picks Isla.

One of the joys of keeping a group of dogs is to watch the interplay between the various personalities. Who plays with whom, and which dogs completely ignore each other (though entirely without animosity) is endlessly fascinating.

Jet and Isla are great friends, often to be seen racing around the field, dodging trees and other dogs, in a highly competitive game of tag that Bronwen and Scylla can’t resist joining.

When it’s all over Jet’s favourite place to relax is across Isla’s shoulders, but I wonder if this is actually Jet’s way of signalling a truce? Bronwen and Scylla look as though they were stopped in their tracks.

“Squibs!” as we used to shout in the playground.
