Some of our working sheepdogs at rest
We thought you’d like to see this picture of some of the dogs taking a break from playing. The picture was taken on this day five years ago (20th May 2012).
From left to right, we have Ezra, then Rita in the background. Next is Dulcie, and immediately behind her, I can see Mab’s face. There is another young dog there, but I can’t see who it is.
Next, in the centre of the picture (with his huge tongue out, and guarding a blue “Jolly Ball”) is Eli (Ezra’s father). In front of Eli is the young Merle pup, Dora, while behind Eli, with her head down is Jill. Behind Jill is Kay, and behind her, is Mel.
To the right of Mel, is puppy Smudge, and to the right of her, is the young try-colour Lucas. Lastly, in front of Lucas is Pip.
Now, in March 2025, we have fond memories of all these working sheepdogs at rest in the field.
